Mr. Adam Locke has been the lead teacher since 2020 and has worked
towards expanding both the days and length of time the class meets. He
has served at St. Thomas More since 2009 and initially worked as the
Teacher’s Aide to Preschool and Pre-kindergarten.
He enjoys watching the children grow and flourish. The Pre-K class
performs weekly Science/ S.T.E.A.M. experiments, has regular alphabet
lessons, and learns age-appropriate math concepts. He also gives regular
exposure to the Bible, and his class attends Mass at least once per month.
He believes that children learn through play, and he gives ample
structured and unstructured time for the children to play in the classroom
each day.
He grew up locally in North Seattle, attending Shorecrest H.S and
Edmonds C.C. Adam has volunteered his time with Vacation Bible School,
coaching youth athletics, and leading afterschool clubs. He and his wife
were married in 1996 and joined St. Thomas More Parish shortly
thereafter. Their daughter attended St. Thomas More School and now
studies at UW (Go Huskies!).
